Newfound comfort

Tuesday, June 20 2006, 1:18 AM

My apartment is now much closer to being considered a normal living space. This past weekend, I picked up a couch and a loveseat that my uncle donated to my cause. They're maroon leather, and except for one worn cushion and a few nicks in the leather, they're in real good shape. My uncle smokes, so there's a bit of a smoky smell to them, but I think a good dose of febreeze will help with that. Besides, I can't complain much, as they were donated to me. They've been in my apartment around 30 hours, and I've already fallen asleep on them a few times. I guess I was catching up for lost not-having-couches time.

Now I need some speaker stands for my surround speakers, and a new TV. My grandmothers both have newer TVs than I do. How awesome is that?

You need art for your walls.

True that.

Yes, I know I'm a PITA.

Nah, I respect your opinion. You're honest, and call things like you see them without candy coating. These are good things.

You mean I lack manners? : )

While I tell it like it is in my blog, I am polite in person and conversationally. Unless I like you. Then I unleash.

Heh, sounds like I've only seen the tip of the iceberg.

Mike your thing needs to support HTML :D

Mike Neir :: 06/20/2006, 11:26 am :: Reply

It's intentionally set to not allow HTML. That way I can frustrate the rollercoaster nutjobs of the world... :-D

I just did you a favor and fixed your link, but your hotlink protection doesn't allow me to see the image. Good show old chap, good show.

Weird. Slight bug in my hotline protection. :D

AG :: 06/20/2006, 11:31 am :: Reply

I like your hotlink art. I have my own owned hotlinker gallery.

Mike Neir :: 06/20/2006, 12:06 pm :: Reply

Have you seen my hotlink image? Most people try to make them small, so they don't use a ton of bandwidth, but I take some perverse pleasure in totally obliterating the site layout of the poor chap that hotlinks my stuff.

AG :: 06/20/2006, 12:56 pm :: Reply

Oh, I don't use hotlink protection for the reasons I went into on the LW forum, so I don't have a catch-all image. When I have time I like to get artsy craftsy and custom make an image the same size. Then, I rename the "real" file and put my new one online.

Ben :: 06/21/2006, 10:43 pm :: Reply

Yeah, but when you're not paying for bandwidth, does it matter? :D

I just hate hotlinkers for the fact they steal bandwidth and copyright materials, however, the actual use of bandwidth doesn't matter to me.

Ben :: 06/21/2006, 10:44 pm :: Reply

My Friend wheresmysocks made that bandwidth monkey art. I've put up some pretty vulgar things sometimes, especially to myspace girls hotlinking my Cedar Point images.

What are your surround speakers on right now, I can't tell...

Chairs.
