One thing I do like about my desk at work is watching the occasional hawk zip by the roof.

By studying the feathers of birds, and with a little practice, you can tell a lot about the environment . Note the fluff of his breast feathers and the amount of displacement - it is evident that the outside temperature is 28 degrees with wind at 8-10 mph, gusting to 15 (photo 2).
