Getting backspace to work remotely in aterm Wednesday, February 04 2004, 6:18 PM I just started playing around with aterm a bit, and I noticed I kept getting nastiness when I used vi on a remote system... lots of ^? characters when I pressed the backspace key. I found a workaround that seems to take care of it... Just add the following to your ~/Xdefaults file: aterm*backspacekey:^H
That should take care of it, but your mileage may vary.
