Not much going on over the past few days.... Work has been pretty busy for the most part... I spent the first third of my day alone, once again, and the last half of it setting up vserver accounts and getting a new host vserver set up. Cool stuff, but it made for a busy day when combined with all of the of the normal stuff. Today was much better since everyone was in the house. Not so much falling on my shoulders.

Today I've been playing around with Fluxbox as an alternative to Gnome as the desktop environment on my laptop. Steven uses it at work, and it does seem pretty sweet. It's very lightweight and fast, although it doesn't have nearly as many toys as Gnome does. I'm still playing around with it, and I don't know if I'll stick with it or go back to Gnome. I've got a lot of the little hotkeys I used in Gnome set up in Fluxbox, so the feel isn't all that different. I suppose that I'll play with it for a while and see.

Bah, stupid stupid linux... I love it, yet I hate it. I just want to have Gnome 2.x on the damn computers, yet there is no easy way to get it on to my Red Hat 7.3 installs. Granted, I could grab a lot of shit and complie it myself, but I'm lazy. Give me RPMs. So I got ambitious, and installed Red Hat 8. It worked, but since I like having all my linux systems running the same version, I went back to 7.3, in hopes that I could jimmy it. Well, the 7.3 install has broken twice now, so I'm pissed. I'm saying screw it for now. I'm prolly going to try Gentoo tomorrow since I've got 3 people I know saying that it's sweet and that I should try it. Nows as good of a time as any...
